How I got into Photography: My father was a great photographer, so I have been around photography all my life, and he always encouraged my brother and I to take photos. We even had a darkroom in our house, as he used to process and print his own film. His favourite genre was Macro photography, or “Close-up” as he used to call it. I’ve had a camera, in some form or other since I was about 10, and I got my first DSLR over 20 years ago – a Nikon D80 – I still have it
Favourite Photographer: Ansel Adams – I love landscapes, and I love Mono images – his images blend these two things perfectly. Two of my favourite images are his “before” and “after” images of the golden gate bridge, taken 10 years apart. I love his tonal ranges and use of contrast! (photographs above)
